Each course can optionally have a subject. These subjects serve as categories, for example "Math" or "English."

Entering a subject for each course allows the courses to be grouped by subject across the entire transcript. Some colleges require that courses be listed by subject instead of year.

To change the grouping of courses, click the "Settings" button.
