When creating a transcript, you need to decide whether you are going to organize your student's courses and credits by years (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior) or by semesters (for example, Fall 2015, Spring 2016). It is important that you do not try to mix the two types of arrangements because it can cause confusion for the college admissions staff.
Even though some courses your student takes are only a semester long, you can still list that course under the year the student took the course. So, if your student took one semester of health as a freshman, simply list the course under the courses the student took during freshman year. If you prefer to show courses separated into semesters, be aware that you will have to designate which semester the course was taken for every course. For full year courses, you will then have two entries, such as follows: Fall 2015 English and Spring 2016 English. Choosing to detail courses by semesters is likely to create a multi-page transcript.
