Course status indicates whether the course has been completed or not. By default, courses are marked as "Completed." If your student is still working on a course, mark it "In Progress" or "Pending." Marking it this way ensures the courses won't be included in the GPA calculation.

"In Progress" courses are visible on the printed transcript by default, whereas "Pending" courses are only visible when editing the transcript. They don't show up on the printed transcript.
